PTC India, a leading power trading solutions provider, has announced a 33% increase in its consolidated net profit for the June quarter, reaching Rs 189 crore. The spike in profit is attributed to a reduction in total expenses, which fell to Rs 4,486.14 crore from Rs 4,603.93 crore a year ago.

According to a company statement, Earnings Per Share (EPS) rose to Rs 5.87 in Q1 FY25 from Rs 4.39 in the same period the previous year. Trading volumes remained relatively stable at 20.5 BUs compared to 20.6 BUs in the previous year. Consulting income for the quarter was reported at Rs 11 crore with a core margin of 3.50 paisa per unit.

Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Chairman and Managing Director (Addl Charge) and Director (Commercial & Operation) at PTC India, highlighted that despite challenges such as extreme weather and high electricity demand, the company managed to maintain a balanced portfolio. He added that the company has initiated operational medium-term power supply contracts for five years and anticipates consistent performance from renewable sources.
