Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Thursday that Karnataka ranks third nationally, attracting Rs 54,427 crore in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for 2023-24.

Outlining multidimensional programmes across industry, agriculture, infrastructure, and education sectors to spur economic growth, the CM detailed the signing of MoUs worth Rs 42,915 crore with 13 industries, generating approximately 22,600 jobs. Further, 591 investment projects have been approved this year, promising Rs 84,232 crore in investments and 1,56,986 jobs.

He also noted Karnataka's leading position in exports, reaching a value of USD 1,66,545 million with a 5.20% growth over the previous year. As preparations for 'Invest Karnataka 2025' are underway, clean mobility policy aims to attract Rs 50,000 crore investments and create 1 lakh jobs. Infrastructure development plans worth Rs 48,686 crore under the 'Brand Bengaluru' initiative are set to upgrade the city.
