Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin announced the launch of 'Mudalvar Marunthagam,' a chain of pharmacy outlets aimed at providing affordable generic medicines to the public. This initiative is set to roll out on January 14, 2025, coinciding with Pongal, and will establish 1,000 outlets in its first phase.
In his Independence Day address, Stalin also discussed climate change challenges, announcing a scientific study on natural calamities in the state's mountainous regions, including Nilgiris, spearheaded by the state disaster management authority.
The CM detailed several welfare schemes, including monthly financial support to students, a new scheme for ex-servicemen providing business loans, and the promise of significant job opportunities in both government and private sectors. Stalin also emphasized the Dravidian model's focus on social and economic growth.
