The Meerut South RRTS station was inaugurated on Sunday, significantly enhancing the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, according to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
With this eight-km extension, the corridor now spans 42 km, connecting nine stations from Sahibabad to Meerut South. Namo Bharat trains will run from 6 am to 10 pm, offering one-way fares at Rs 110 for standard class from Sahibabad and Rs 90 from Ghaziabad. The station features Uttar Pradesh's largest parking facility along the RRTS corridor, capable of accommodating 1,200 vehicles and two-wheelers.
The Meerut South station is designed for convenience and accessibility, including designated areas for passengers with disabilities. It serves as the gateway to Meerut, facilitating travel from nearby areas. With the full 82-km corridor set to be operational by June 2025, this development marks a significant improvement in regional connectivity.
