Zappfresh Expands Westward by Acquiring Mumbai-based Bonsaro

In a strategic move to expand its market reach, Zappfresh, the digital platform known for selling meat, has acquired Bonsaro, a Mumbai-based online delivery company specializing in poultry, goat, and seafood.
Announced on Tuesday, Zappfresh will take over Bonsaro's entire operations and assets, aiming to solidify its presence in western India. The acquisition is projected to push the company's revenue to Rs 160 crore by the fiscal year 2025.
Founder of Zappfresh, Deepanshu Manchanda, highlighted the importance of this move, stating it positions the company as a pan-India brand. He emphasized that their expansion strategy focuses on disciplined, city-by-city growth, ensuring profitability and operational excellence, backed by significant investments from SIDBI VC, Dabur Family Office, and other eminent investors in food and tech sectors.
