Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Records Double-Digit Growth in August 2024

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reported a substantial 13% year-on-year growth for August 2024, with total sales reaching 538,852 units. The rise includes a notable 79% increase in exports. HMSI also achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 30 lakh units sold in Madhya Pradesh.

Continuing its impressive performance, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) announced on Monday that it achieved a 13% year-on-year growth in overall sales for August 2024. The company's total dispatches for the month reached 538,852 units.

HMSI's domestic sales amounted to 491,678 units, reflecting a 9% growth from the previous year. Export figures were even more striking, with 47,174 units shipped abroad, marking a substantial 79% year-on-year increase. For the fiscal year 2024-25, spanning April to August, the company's domestic sales totaled 2,345,028 units, and exports amounted to 229,716 units.

As a noteworthy milestone, HMSI has sold over 30 lakh units in Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, the company expanded its road safety awareness campaigns to 11 cities across India, including Udaipur, Jorhat, and Thiruvananthapuram among others. This follows July's impressive dispatch numbers of 483,100 units, indicating a 43% year-on-year growth, driven primarily by strong rural spending.

HMSI's diverse product lineup includes four scooter models and nine motorcycle models across various segments from 100cc to 200cc, catering to a wide range of customer preferences.
