Himachal Pradesh's New Medical Device Park Promises 10,000 Jobs Amidst Forest Management Updates
The Himachal Pradesh government is setting up a Medical Device Park on 265 acres in Solan district, expected to create 10,000 jobs. Himachal Pradesh's new Medical Device Park, spanning 265 acres in Solan district, aims to generate 10,000 direct and indirect jobs, Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan informed the state assembly on Tuesday.
The park, located in Manjholi village under the Nalagarh constituency, will employ thousands and is due for completion by December 31, 2025, fully funded by the state, Chauhan added.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu highlighted that 2,708 forest fire cases were reported in the first half of 2024, with no human fatalities. He also noted that 35 out of 55 Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) hotels reported losses last year.
