Navi Mumbai Metro Fare Slashed 33% Starting September 7
The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has announced a fare reduction of up to 33% on the Belapur-Pendhar metro rail corridor in Navi Mumbai, effective from September 7. The minimum fare is now Rs 10, and the maximum is Rs 30 to benefit commuters. Service on this route started last November.

The fares of the Belapur-Pendhar metro rail corridor in Navi Mumbai have been reduced by as much as 33 per cent, effective from September 7, a top CIDCO official announced on Thursday.
According to the revised rates, the minimum fare is set at Rs 10 while the maximum would be Rs 30, stated a release from the state-run town planning authority, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO).
''Following the revision, tickets will cost Rs 10 for the first stretch of 0-2 km and 2-4 km, Rs 20 for 4-6 km and 6-8 km, and Rs 30 for 8-10 km and beyond. Previously, the metro fare from Belapur Terminal to Pendhar was Rs 40, now reduced to Rs 30,'' the release detailed.
The fare reduction aims to benefit commuters, with Navi Mumbai residents encouraged to take advantage of this service, as per CIDCO Managing Director Vijay Singhal.
The Belapur-Pendhar metro service, which connects CBD, Taloja MIDC, and CIDCO's housing complexes in Kharghar, began operations on November 17 last year.
