The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has achieved a remarkable feat by unloading over 100 million tonnes of goods in just 160 days during the current financial year, according to an official statement. This milestone represents a 6.5 per cent growth compared to the same period last year.

The Khurda Road Division led the efforts with 60.38 million tonnes, followed by Waltair Division with 22.68 million tonnes, and Sambalpur Division at 17.38 million tonnes.

ECoR's performance highlights its critical role in supporting major ports like Paradeep, Visakhapatnam, and Gopalpur, and serving various industries including steel, power, and cement. Key commodities transported include coal, iron ore, and bauxite.
