IYDF and Kanchan Kaya Beauty Salon Bring Joy to Aashiana Slum Children

The International Youth Development Fund (IYDF) and Kanchan Kaya Beauty Salon collaborated to organize a charity event in Lucknow's Aashiana slum. The event included a zoo trip and distribution of essential supplies, leaving a lasting impact on 21 underprivileged children through a day filled with fun, education, and support.

On September 8, 2024, the International Youth Development Fund (IYDF) partnered with Kanchan Kaya Beauty Salon to organise a special charity event in the Aashiana slum area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The event featured an exciting trip to the local zoo and provided essential supplies such as food, stationery, and daily necessities to the children.

The event was made possible by Veena Sharma and a dedicated team of 10 volunteers, including Akriti Singh, Devansh Sharma, Jayash Vishwakarma, Jyoti Vishwakarma, Juhi Sinha, Aparna Tyagi, Priya Sharma, Shivani Tyagi, and Akansha Sharma. Kanchan Kaya Beauty Salon supported the event through donations and active participation, showcasing its commitment to social responsibility.

Volunteers distributed sandals, chocolates, stationery sets, food, beverages, and fruits to 21 underprivileged children, bringing smiles and excitement. Highlights included a zoo visit, a toy train ride, and a picnic filled with laughter and group activities, teaching the values of teamwork and cooperation. Veena Sharma and other volunteers reflected on the fulfilling experience of giving back and stressed the importance of continued support for underprivileged children. The event demonstrated the positive impact of community efforts and social responsibility.
