Empty Gas Cylinder Found on Train Tracks Near Lucknow: Second Incident This Month

An empty gas cylinder was discovered on the railway tracks by the loco pilot of a goods train near Prempur railway station in Lucknow on Sunday. This incident marks the second such occurrence in the state within this month.
According to the police, the incident occurred at around 8:10 am as the train was traveling from Kanpur to Allahabad. The five-litre empty cylinder was subsequently removed from the tracks and the matter is currently under investigation.
In a similar case earlier this month, on September 8, an attempt was made to derail the Kalindi Express by placing an LPG cylinder on the tracks. The train struck the cylinder before coming to a halt, causing the cylinder to be thrown off the tracks.
