Pankaj Agrawal Takes On Dual Roles in Power and Transport Ministries

Power Secretary Pankaj Agrawal has been assigned additional responsibilities as the Secretary of Road Transport and Highways. This follows the repatriation of Anurag Jain, who has moved to his cadre state Madhya Pradesh as the Chief Secretary. The decision was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

The Personnel Ministry confirmed that Agrawal will take over the new role following Anurag Jain's departure. Jain, a 1989 batch IAS officer, has been repatriated to Madhya Pradesh to serve as the Chief Secretary.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the repatriation of Jain on Monday, paving the way for Agrawal's dual roles in both the Power and Transport Ministries.
