Cherlapalli Satellite Terminal: A Modern Rail Revolution in Telangana

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy visited the newly developed satellite terminal station at Cherlapalli on Sunday, located near Hyderabad. Developed at a cost of Rs 430 crores, the terminal can manage 25 pairs of trains, boasting a total line capacity of 19 with ten newly added lines.
Reddy highlighted that 98 per cent of work at Cherlapalli has been completed, with the remainder expected to conclude shortly. Modern facilities such as executive lounges, waiting halls, and EV charging points have been installed, according to a release from South Central Railway.
He announced that 40 Railway stations in Telangana are being revamped under the Amrit Bharat scheme. Safety and eco-friendly measures like the 'KAVACH' system and solar panel installation are underway, promising a significant enhancement to the region's rail infrastructure.
