Bomb Scare on IndiGo Flight: Emergency Landing and False Alarm

An IndiGo flight traveling from Nagpur to Kolkata was forced to make an emergency landing at Raipur airport on Thursday morning. This action was prompted by a passenger who informed the crew in mid-air of a supposed bomb on board, shaking up all 187 passengers and six crew members.
Upon arrival at Raipur's Swami Vivekananda Airport, security operations went into full swing with bomb detection squad and police rigorously checking the aircraft. Authorities found no suspicious objects after their thorough investigation, confirming the threat to be false.
The passenger, identified as Animesh Mandal from Nagpur, has since been arrested and charged under relevant penal codes for making the false bomb threat. The IndiGo flight resumed its planned journey to Kolkata shortly after noon, officials confirmed.
