Swift Response Saves Passenger's Life on IndiGo Flight
An IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Pune made an emergency landing in Raipur when a woman passenger suffered a medical emergency. The crew coordinated with Air Traffic Control, and the passenger received immediate medical assistance upon landing. The flight continued its journey after the situation was resolved.
An IndiGo flight en route from Kolkata to Pune was forced to make an emergency landing at Raipur's Swami Vivekananda Airport due to an onboard medical emergency involving a passenger. Officials reported that a woman lost consciousness during the flight, prompting swift action from the flight crew.
Alerted by the crisis, the crew immediately contacted Air Traffic Control (ATC) and requested urgent medical assistance. Upon approval, the flight was diverted to Raipur and landed safely around noon. A medical team arranged by the Airports Authority of India provided initial treatment, after which the passenger was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance for further care.
Following the timely medical intervention and after ensuring passenger safety, the flight resumed its scheduled journey to Pune around 1 PM. The entire procedure was conducted efficiently and with minimal disruption to other passengers, according to officials.
