Tata's Natarajan Chandrasekaran Honored with Prestigious British Award

Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Group, has been conferred with the 'Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (Civil Division)'. This honor acknowledges his significant contributions to enhancing business relations between the United Kingdom and India, according to an official statement from the British Government.
Expressing his gratitude, Chandrasekaran said, “I am deeply humbled by this prestigious recognition, for which I am grateful to His Majesty, King Charles. Tata Group is proud to maintain a strong strategic relationship with the UK in sectors like technology, consumer goods, hospitality, steel, chemicals, and automotive.”
Highlighting Tata's UK presence, he continued, “We are incredibly proud of our iconic British brands like Jaguar Land Rover and Tetley. We employ more than 70,000 people in the UK. Our world-class research and academic partnerships include collaboration with the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics, the University of Warwick, and the University of Swansea.”
“I would also like to express, on behalf of the Tata Group, my deep thanks to HM Government for their support for the Group. It is a strong and enduring relationship, and I look forward to strengthening our presence in the UK further,” Chandrasekaran remarked.
Chandrasekaran leads Tata Sons, the holding company of over 100 Tata operating firms, with combined annual revenues exceeding USD 100 billion. He joined Tata Sons' Board in October 2016, becoming Chairman in January 2017, following a 30-year career at Tata Consultancy Services.
