Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu made a significant push for the state's industrial expansion by meeting Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday. The focus was on the establishment of mega leather parks and securing pending grants for the Zaheerabad project.
During the meeting in Delhi, Babu extended a formal invitation to Goyal for BioAsia-2025, scheduled for February 26 in Hyderabad, to which the Union Minister assured his attendance. The discussion also covered Telangana's ambitious plans to join the Osaka Expo 2025 in Japan, aiming to showcase its international potential.
Babu sought assistance from the Department of Industrial Promotion Policies for infrastructure development, with special emphasis on Common Effluent Treatment Plants at the proposed leather parks in Rukmapur and Station Ghanpur. He additionally highlighted the progress of the Zaheerabad Node and urged speedy clearances and fund releases. The meeting was attended by other key Telangana representatives, indicating strong state-level support for the initiatives.
