Ride-hailing service provider Rapido is gearing up to introduce its 'Pink Rapido' bikes in Karnataka, a new initiative featuring bikes driven by women exclusively for women riders.

The launch is planned for the end of the year, as announced by Rapido's co-founder, Pavan Guntupalli, at the Global Investors Summit. This move promises to generate 25,000 job opportunities for women, enhancing both economic prospects and safety.

Guntupalli stressed the dual goals of employment creation and providing a respectful, secure working environment. With several safety measures in place, the initiative is also fostering opportunities in smaller towns, with 35% of its workforce coming from these areas, symbolizing a move towards inclusive growth.
