Tragic Collision on Prayagraj Highway Claims Ten Lives

A tragic head-on collision between a Bolero car and a bus occurred in Prayagraj, resulting in the death of ten devotees who were en route to the Maha Kumbh. While the individuals in the bus sustained minor injuries, all car passengers perished. Uttar Pradesh CM mourns the incident.

A devastating incident unfolded late Friday night in Prayagraj, where a Bolero vehicle carrying ten individuals collided head-on with a bus, leading to a tragic loss of lives. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Chandra Yadav, the deceased were devotees traveling from Chhattisgarh to the Maha Kumbh.

The passengers of the Bolero were fatally injured in the crash, while occupants of the bus suffered minor injuries. Identification was made possible through Aadhaar cards and information from relatives. The accident claimed the lives of individuals including Somnath, Ishwari Prasad Jaiswal, Bhagirathi Jaiswal, Santosh Soni, amongst others.

In response to the accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his deep condolences and assured that the bereaved families would receive support. He also instructed the authorities to ensure proper medical care for the injured, wishing them a swift recovery.
