The proposed bilateral trade agreement between India and the US is being hailed as the 'mother of all deals' by Union minister Piyush Goyal. He emphasized that it will create immense collaboration opportunities for both Indians and Americans at the Invest Kerala Global Summit.

Speaking at the summit, Goyal said the central government fully supports the event, despite underlying political tensions with Kerala's LDF government. He highlighted ongoing dialogues with the European Union, the UK, and Oman, alongside discussions of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with Bahrain.

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Washington, both countries committed to doubling their commerce to USD 500 billion by 2030 and negotiating a multi-sector bilateral trade agreement by 2025. As the US remains India's largest trading partner, this deal could redefine economic relations between the nations.
