Fueling Economic Growth: Education & Startups in Tamil Nadu's Trillion-Dollar Vision
Educational institutions and startups are pivotal in driving Tamil Nadu's economic ambitions toward a one trillion dollar economy by 2030. Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan emphasized increasing scalability and global market applications at the Crescent Innovation and Incubation Council symposium, amid showcasing startup innovations.

At a recent symposium hosted by the Crescent Innovation and Incubation Council, Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan emphasized the vital role of educational institutions and startups in boosting Tamil Nadu's economy. He highlighted the state's ambitious goal to reach a one trillion dollar economy by 2030.
Currently standing at a value of approximately Rs 28 lakh crore, Tamil Nadu's economy requires significant scalability and large market applications beyond India's borders to reach its target within the next five years, noted Rajan. Emphasizing its importance, he labeled this strategy not only as the best path but the only feasible one.
During the event, Rajan also unveiled a compendium of innovative products from startups and inaugurated new companies incubated at CIIC. Distinguished attendees included Mission Director and CEO of Startup TN, Sivarajah Ramanathan, president UEF Ahmed Buhari, executive director CIIC Parvez Alam, and CEO of IITM Research Park Natarajan Malupillai.
