Singapore's CapitaLand India Trust is making significant strides in Bengaluru's commercial real estate sector with a substantial Rs 1,000 crore investment into a new office project by Maia Group. This initiative marks a strategic move to bolster CapitaLand's foothold in one of India's largest office markets.

On Friday, CapitaLand announced it had sealed a forward purchase agreement with Maia Estates Offices Pvt Ltd. The agreement involves acquiring a significant office project in Nagawara, Outer Ring Road, Bengaluru, showcasing a mixed-use development sprawling over 4.6 acres. This landmark development integrates 1.13 million sq ft of office space and 0.22 million sq ft of retail space.

The venture will be fully funded by CapitaLand, set to gain control of the office space in 2030, contributing to Maia Group's flagship commercial project 'The Beacon'. In tandem, Maia is set to offer overviews of the Nagavara lakefront, blending modern design, sustainability, and technology.
