The Angels of Mumbai initiative reached a significant milestone as 15 exceptional individuals were recognized on February 20 for their extraordinary contributions to society. These honorees received trophies and cash awards during a special ceremony held to celebrate their dedication and impact.

Selected by an esteemed jury, the awardees exemplify the spirit of resilience and altruism that characterizes Mumbai. Their causes range from tackling child sexual abuse and human trafficking to advocating for stray dogs and urban conservation. In his speech, chief guest Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister for Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, highlighted the transformative power of selfless service: 'In the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, true fulfillment comes from serving others. Exceptional individuals inspire entire communities, creating a cascade of positive public impact.'

Notable attendees included Mumbai municipal commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, who presented trophies to the awardees, and jury chairperson Justice S J Kathawalla, who emphasized the profound effects of generosity.
