At least four people were killed and seven others seriously injured in separate incidents on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway in Nashik district, police indicated on Saturday. The tragic occurrences unfolded as a container truck veered off course and overturned near Daregaon village in Malegaon taluka, claiming three lives and injuring two more at around 11 AM on Saturday.

In this harrowing incident, the deceased included an auto-rickshaw driver and two female passengers, all victims of the truck’s grave misjudgment. Emergency services rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving critical care, a police official disclosed.

In a separate accident, a woman perished, and five others were severely hurt when a truck with failed brakes plowed into several vehicles in the Rahud ghat area on Friday night. The crash involved seven to eight cars and trucks, underscoring a desperate need for vigilant road safety measures.
