In a recent development, Maharashtra's Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has suspended all state transport bus services to Karnataka. This decision follows an incident where a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus traveling from Bengaluru to Mumbai was attacked on Friday night.

The attack reportedly took place in Chitradurga, Karnataka, where pro-Kannada activists targeted the vehicle. The activists allegedly blackened the face of bus driver Bhaskar Jadhav and physically assaulted him, prompting a strong response from Maharashtra officials.

Minister Sarnaik stated that the suspension would remain until the Karnataka government addresses the issue and makes its position clear. The halt in services could affect numerous travelers between the two states.
