Tragic Road Accidents Shake Uttar Pradesh

In a devastating road mishap in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur district, three lives were lost, including a 57-year-old man and his wife, when a truck crashed into an SUV carrying pilgrims. The tragedy unfolded late Monday near the Haliyapur toll plaza as the SUV was rear-ended on the Purvanchal Expressway.

Three others sustained serious injuries, among them Ritesh Kumar Pandey from Bihar, Ashok Chaubey, and his wife. They were promptly referred to a government medical college for advanced care. Meanwhile, the truck driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle, as confirmed by the police.

In a separate incident, a child tragically lost his life when a speeding SUV struck him in Amethi district's Lalganj village. The toddler was playing by the roadside when hit, leaving the community in shock. Police say the SUV was abandoned by the driver and has since been impounded, with legal proceedings underway.
