IIT Madras Partners with Startup Policy Forum to Transform India's Startup Ecosystem

IIT Madras collaborates with the Startup Policy Forum to establish a comprehensive knowledge partnership aimed at enhancing data-driven policy advocacy for startups. This union will leverage IIT Madras's research prowess and SPF's policy expertise to create robust policies that support India's thriving startup landscape.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has forged a new alliance with the Startup Policy Forum (SPF) in a bid to revolutionize India's startup ecosystem. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two institutions aim to promote data-driven and evidence-based policy advocacy.

This collaboration seeks to harness IIT Madras's considerable expertise in research, innovation, and incubation of high-impact startups, alongside SPF's proficiency in policy frameworks. Together, they will support the Centre for Research on Start-Ups and Risk Financing (CREST) and the YNOS platform, aiming to drive forward-thinking policies for the Indian startup sector.

Key representatives, including Prof. Manu Santhanam of IIT Madras and Shweta Rajpal Kohli of SPF, have expressed optimism that this partnership will pave the way for robust, proactive policies that address the needs of the dynamic startup landscape in India.
