Jupiter's Rail Revolution: A Wheelset Wonder

Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory, part of Jupiter Wagons Limited, clinched a Rs 255 crore contract to supply 9,140 wheelsets to Braithwaite & Co. This boosts Jupiter's domestic manufacturing status, coinciding with its Rs 2,500 crore production expansion plans aimed at revolutionizing its railway wheel business by 2026.

Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory, under Jupiter Wagons Limited, secured a Rs 255 crore contract from Braithwaite & Co to supply 9,140 high-performance wheelsets. This move enhances Jupiter's prominence as a leading domestic manufacturer in railway wheelset production.

Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Wagons Limited, expressed commitment to propelling innovation within India's railway sector. He emphasized the company's strategic investments in advanced manufacturing capabilities for wheels and axles, slated at Rs 2,500 crore.

Besides bolstering its order book to Rs 560 crore, Jupiter aims to generate Rs 600 crore in revenue by FY26. Their manufacturing capacity will expand significantly with a new state-of-the-art facility in Odisha, expected to produce up to 1,00,000 wheelsets annually by 2027.
