Kharge Criticizes Modi's 'Viksit Bharat' Vision

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge asserts that Prime Minister Modi's approach to 'Viksit Bharat' has increased wealth disparity and decreased income for most Indians, as economic policies favor the wealthy. He highlights the lack of wage growth, rising unemployment, and inflation as major issues for ordinary citizens.

In a bold statement, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s economic strategy, alleging it has impoverished ordinary Indians while enriching select billionaires. According to Kharge, Modi's vision for 'Viksit Bharat' is deeply flawed, exacerbating financial inequality across the nation.

Kharge pointed out that 100 crore Indians have no extra income for discretionary spending, a situation worsened by the Union budget's underwhelming impact. He suggested that the current economic system benefits the wealthiest 10% while the remaining population struggles to meet basic expenses.

He also highlighted the troubling economic indicators such as stagnant wages, persistent inflation, and decreasing consumption, which have collectively led to diminished household savings, growing income inequality, and unprecedented levels of household debt. As India contends with potential trade wars and escalating unemployment, Kharge called for immediate policy reassessment.
