In a tragic incident on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, two individuals lost their lives after their motorcycle collided with a divider in Maharashtra's Palghar district, the police reported on Monday.

The accident, which took place near Dhanivari village on Sunday morning, claimed the lives of Chetan Nikolay, 28, and Rani Suresh Borsa, 21. The victims were killed on the spot, according to Inspector Avinash Mandle from Kasa police station.

The mishap occurred amidst ongoing bridge construction on the route that has led to traffic being diverted. Eyewitnesses stated that the divider was improperly installed and not visible, causing the victims to be run over by an unidentified vehicle after their fall.
