On International Women's Day, Airbnb is highlighting the pivotal role women play in advancing gender equality, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment within the hospitality industry across India. The platform underscores the impact of women hosts and guests who contribute significantly to the sector's growth and inclusivity.

Women hosts constitute nearly 30% of Airbnb's host community in India, achieving impressive financial milestones. In 2024, they collectively earned around INR 2.6 billion, with over 56% being rated five stars. Women's listings account for almost 35% of the most popular rentals, confirming their hospitality prowess.

Beyond hosting, Indian women travelers are increasingly opting for Airbnb's offerings, particularly among Millennials and Gen Z. Preferred travel includes pairs or groups venturing short stays of two to six nights. Domestically, Goa tops their choices, while Varanasi shows remarkable growth in bookings. Internationally, London leads, with Tbilisi witnessing a surge in demand.
