CG Power Lands Rs 450 Crore Vande Bharat Trainsets Order

CG Power and Industrial Solutions has secured a Rs 450 crore order to supply railway products for Vande Bharat trainsets. This includes a long-term agreement with Kinet Railway Solutions for railway products and services. CG Power is an industry leader in electrical engineering and part of the Murugappa Group.

CG Power and Industrial Solutions has announced a significant advancement in its railway product division this Tuesday, securing a substantial order valued at Rs 450 crore. The order pertains to the supply of essential railway products for Vande Bharat trainsets, marking a major milestone for the company.

In a strategic move outlined in a company statement, CG Power confirmed a long-term agreement with Kinet Railway Solutions Limited. This agreement encompasses the supply and servicing of railway products, notably propulsion kits with motors and transformers, among various other components. The initial purchase order falls between the range of Rs 400-450 crore for 10 Vande Bharat trainsets.

With a legacy spanning over 86 years, CG Power has carved out an impressive niche in the railway sector, offering a diverse range of products like traction machines and systems, in addition to rail transportation traction electronics. Since November 2020, it has been part of the distinguished Murugappa Group, underpinning its status as a leader in the Electrical Engineering Industry with its Industrial Systems and Power Systems divisions.
