A horrific road accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district resulted in the deaths of four people, with eight others suffering injuries. The mishap unfolded on Tuesday when a tempo traveller lost control and plunged into a deep gorge near the Gangode area, according to officials.

Local authorities and rescue teams, including the police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), swiftly responded to the scene to extract the victims from the wreckage. Tragically, three individuals perished immediately while a fourth succumbed to injuries en route to the hospital.

The tempo was traveling from Jammu to Mahore when the accident occurred. Reasi SSP Paramvir Singh confirmed that six of the injured have been transferred to a Jammu hospital for further medical care.
