The official confirmed that 33 militants and 21 hostages were killed during the operation. On Tuesday, separatist Balochi militants attacked the Jaffar Express, which carried over 400 passengers.

According to authorities, the militants, some equipped with suicide vests, had blown up a railway track and launched rockets. They were reportedly seated among the hostages, creating significant challenges for the rescue teams.
