A civil defence team from Central Railway executed a comprehensive mock drill at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on Wednesday. This exercise aimed to evaluate the readiness and efficiency of security forces in emergencies, similar to the 26/11 terrorist attacks.
The drill comprised fire safety demonstrations and rescue operations, alongside strategies to handle air strikes. Both the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) participated, engaging in separate and collaborative drills, including route marches and patrols.
With new threats emerging amidst tensions with Pakistan, these exercises are part of a nationwide initiative. The event, which attracted many onlookers, showcased the preparedness of Central Railway's civil defence team and reaffirmed safety measures at critical transportation hubs.
