Deadly Collision on LA Freeway: SUV and Bus Crash Leaves Trail of Destruction

In a tragic incident early Sunday, a deadly collision on a Los Angeles freeway claimed one life and left 32 others injured. A tour bus and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) collided, leading to a fiery aftermath that engulfed the SUV.
The sole occupant of the SUV tragically lost their life, as the vehicle was set ablaze shortly after the crash around 5 am in the Hacienda Heights region, approximately 20 miles from downtown LA, according to a release from the California Highway Patrol. The collision resulted in significant damage and sent the bus skidding across lanes.
CHP Officer Zachary Salazar reported that 32 individuals were hospitalized, with two in critical condition. The tour bus was en route from the Morongo desert area to Los Angeles’ Koreatown. The highway, closed for hours for investigation, reopened by late morning.
