Gujarat Airports Reopen After Ceasefire Understanding

Seven airports in Gujarat, including those in the border district of Kutch, have reopened for civilian flights as of Monday morning. The closures were due to military conflicts with Pakistan, but a ceasefire agreement has allowed normal operations to resume.

Seven airports across Gujarat, some located in the strategic border district of Kutch, have resumed civilian flight operations as of Monday morning, officials announced.

This follows a closure that began on May 9 amid military tensions with Pakistan, temporarily halting services at key airports such as Rajkot, Porbandar, and others. The conflict prompted airport closures across 32 locations in northern and western India.

With the announcement from the Airport Authority of India and a subsequent understanding reached between India and Pakistan to cease hostilities, airports in Bhuj, Mundra, and Kandla are among those that have reopened. Directors from Bhuj and Jamnagar airports confirmed the resumption of services.
