In a tragic incident in Palnadu district, four people lost their lives after a vehicle collision on Tuesday. Police have reported that an empty vehicle collided with a coconut-laden truck early in the morning.
Officials identified that the truck was on a route from Rajahmundry to Ballari in Karnataka. Narasaraopeta sub-divisional police officer K Nageshwar Rao confirmed that two individuals died on the scene, while two more succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
A case has been registered under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the families have received the bodies of the deceased. The collision occurred on an empty road, raising questions about road safety measures.
