Tragic Collision on Purvanchal Expressway Leaves Two Dead
A head-on motorcycle collision on Sultanpur’s Purvanchal Expressway resulted in two fatalities and two severe injuries. A collision between two motorcycles on the Purvanchal Expressway's service lane claimed the lives of two young men and left two others critically injured, officials reported on Friday.
The incident unfolded at approximately 11 am near the Madanpur turn in Sultanpur's Dostpur area. The deceased were identified as Dilip Kumar, 22, and Jitendra, 25, according to police records.
Dilip was en route from Manikpur to Sahgiya with Prince, 18, and Krishna, 20, when the accident occurred. Jitendra was returning from Janakpur. Both men died at the scene, with survivors Prince and Krishna soon referred to the Ambedkar Nagar District Hospital. Authorities noted the absence of helmets as a factor in the fatalities. Ongoing investigations are being conducted by local police forces.
