A tragic incident occurred on Friday when the Awadh Assam Express train collided with a push trolley in Bihar's Katihar district, resulting in the death of a railway personnel and injuries to four others.
Manoj Kumar Singh, Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Katihar, confirmed that the trolleyman was killed instantly. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The push trolley was being used for routine patrolling tasks. Authorities have launched a high-level inquiry to determine any possible lapses that led to the collision involving train number 15910. After the incident, train services resumed, and the Awadh Assam Express continued its journey.
