Luxmi Group, headquartered in Kolkata, has announced its acquisition of a majority stake in Brew Tea Co, a rapidly expanding UK firm known for its whole-leaf teas and ethical sourcing. The acquisition aims to leverage Luxmi's century-long expertise in tea cultivation to further popularize premium teas worldwide.

Founded in Manchester by Phil and Aideen Kirby, Brew Tea Co has rapidly grown into a top specialty tea brand in the UK. Its subscription service delivers high-quality tea products to nearly 10,000 homes, marking a significant presence in the market, as confirmed by Luxmi Group's statement.

Despite the acquisition, co-founders Phil and Aideen Kirby will maintain a 20% stake and continue in leadership roles, ensuring their vision and emphasis on quality remain central. Luxmi Group looks forward to enhancing the farm-to-cup model, combining ethical production and premium quality, said MD Rudra Chatterjee.
