A man suffered a serious leg injury on Saturday when he leapt in front of a moving train at the Koyilandy railway station in north Kerala, police have reported.
The individual, identified as Sivasankar, son of Krishnappa from Bengaluru, was quickly taken to the Government Medical College for emergency treatment.
According to a police officer, there is a strong suspicion that both of Sivasankar's legs may have been severed due to the incident.
