The Jammu administration has imposed a ban on the sale, purchase, storage, distribution, and display of motor vehicle accessories intended for unauthorized modifications.
This order, issued by Jammu District Magistrate Sachin Kumar Vaishya, is enforced under Section 52 of the Motor Vehicles Act and applies immediately within the Jammu District.
The crackdown follows the recent seizure of numerous modified vehicles by the Traffic Police. Authorities highlighted that local vendors sell items altering vehicle specifications, such as oversized tyres, pressure horns, and high-intensity lights.
