Woodgate Aviation, a private charter company headquartered at Belfast International Airport, confirmed in a statement that the Beech B200 Super King Air aircraft’s main undercarriage collapsed upon touch down.

Subsequent updates from Birmingham Airport indicated that the runway was likely to stay closed until 2000 local time (1900 GMT). Images shared on social media depicted the aircraft, immobilized on the runway, as emergency services discharged all passengers safely.
