Kitex Garments has announced the launch of its US brand 'Little Star' in the Indian market. The company aims to achieve Rs 1,000 crore in additional revenue over the next two to three years, a strategic move to withstand trade uncertainties and tariffs imposed under Trump's administration that have affected Indian exporters.
Sabu M Jacob, Managing Director, stated that establishing a strong domestic presence is crucial for mitigating international risks. He highlighted the advantages for Indian parents, who can now access the brand offering American-standard safety, fashion, and comfort at an affordable price.
Headquartered in Kizhakkambalam, Kochi, Kitex Garments is one of the largest manufacturers of children's clothing worldwide. Jacob also noted India's high birth rate as a primary market driver and mentioned plans to defer investment talks in Andhra Pradesh due to current tariff uncertainties.
