Noida International Airport Set to Transform NCR
The Noida International Airport, located in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, is set to be inaugurated on October 30. With flight operations beginning 45 days after, the airport aims to enhance connectivity and serves as NCR's second international hub. It focuses on cargo and passenger operations, developed in a PPP model.
The anticipated inauguration of the Noida International Airport on October 30 marks a landmark development in the National Capital Region. Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu confirmed the initiation of flight operations within 45 days of the launch.
Sitting 75 kilometers from Delhi in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, this greenfield airport will serve as NCR's second major international air hub. With potential connections to at least 10 cities initially, it promises to bolster connectivity and economic growth in the area.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the transformative infrastructure developments in the region. Developed in a Public-Private Partnership model, the airport's first phase completion on 1,300 hectares will soon support 12 million passengers annually, reflecting a significant leap in Uttar Pradesh's aviation landscape.
