In a substantial move aimed at benefiting consumers, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann declared a major price cut for Verka's milk and dairy products, effective September 22. This reduction coincides with the latest Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms initiated nationwide.
Verka, a renowned brand under Punjab's Milkfed cooperative, will implement reduced prices across its popular product range. These adjustments align with the Indian government's GST 2.0 reforms targeting essential dairy commodities.
Mann highlighted that these changes will bring relief to consumers impacted by inflation, while simultaneously boosting demand for organized dairy products and enhancing the prosperity of farmers in the state.
