In a tragic turn of events, five motorcyclists lost their lives in separate road accidents across various districts in Jharkhand. The incidents, marked by collisions and adverse conditions, have stirred concerns and demands for accountability from local communities.
Among the deceased were Abhishek Murmu and his brother-in-law Bandi Soren, both from Ranchi, who succumbed to injuries after a vehicle struck their motorcycle on the Charhi-Ghato Road. Irate villagers blocked the road demanding the arrest of the driver, who remains unidentified. Local law enforcement assured the villagers of necessary compensation and active pursuit of the culprit.
In Palamu district, another fatal accident claimed the life of Rakesh Kumar, a state government employee, in a head-on collision with an SUV. Similarly, separate incidents in Koderma district resulted in the deaths of Sagar Kumar and Varun Pandey, both succumbing to injuries from losing control due to wet road conditions. These incidents underline the urgent need for improved road safety measures.
