The Kerala government took a major step on Thursday by unveiling 'Vision 2031', an ambitious plan designed to turn the state into an industrial powerhouse. This roadmap aims to position Kerala as one of India's top investment destinations.
Industries Minister P Rajeev introduced a detailed document listing mega projects aimed at developing world-class industrial infrastructure. Key aspects include the establishment of industrial corridors and innovation hubs. Reforms like amending the Single Window Clearance Board Act feature prominently to facilitate smoother industrial progression.
Highlighted projects include the Vizhinjam Outer Area Growth Corridor and Kochi Global City, with plans for significant job creation. Other initiatives include setting up 200 Global Capability Centres, biotech hubs, and the development of Kerala University for Skill Development to equip youth with industry-relevant skills.
