A tragic bus accident in Madhya Pradesh's Barwani district claimed the life of a woman and injured 55 others. The bus, carrying pilgrims for the 'Narmada Parikrama', overturned near Baigur village on Friday morning.
Officials reported the bus veered off course, skidded, and hit a divider during its journey from Indore and Dhar districts. The vehicle came to a stop dangerously close to a gorge, potentially averting a worse disaster.
The State Disaster Emergency Response Force and local police launched a joint rescue operation, successfully evacuating two passengers trapped inside. Preliminary investigations suggest the bus driver lost control, leading to the accident. Local leaders have informed the Chief Minister to discuss relief efforts.
